NotifyHub

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about NotifyHub.

NotifyHub is a multi-channel platform for sending transactional notifications and managing customer conversations. It supports WhatsApp, Telegram, Email, Web Push, Discord, Slack and Live Chat — all from a single API and dashboard. EU hosting, Italian invoicing, GDPR compliant.
Currently 8 active channels: WhatsApp Business (Meta Cloud API), Telegram (Bot API), Email (managed SMTP), Web Push (VAPID/PWA), Discord (Bot + Webhook), Slack (Web API), Messenger (Meta Graph API) and Live Chat Widget (embeddable). Coming soon: Instagram DM and TikTok.
The Unified Inbox groups all conversations from every channel (WhatsApp, Telegram, Live Chat, etc.) into a single view. You can see each conversation's state (AI-managed, waiting for operator, escalated, blocked), reply manually, reactivate AI or block the contact — all from the same panel.
Campaigns let you send mass messages to your contacts. Choose a template, select recipients (all or a specific group), set the send rate (messages/minute) and launch. You can schedule sending, pause and resume. Progress is monitored in real-time with stats on delivered, failed and speed.
The AI Assistant automatically responds to customer messages on all channels (WhatsApp, Telegram, Live Chat). It uses your Knowledge Base (hours, price list, FAQ) to give precise answers. Supports voice messages (STT transcription + TTS replies) and smart handoff to operator when the customer requests it. Each response consumes AI credits transparently.
Add a single line of JavaScript to your site: <script src="https://notify.trovido.com/widget/v1/chat.js" data-workspace="your-slug"></script>. The widget auto-configures from your workspace (colors, welcome message, AI). Visitors type in the widget, conversations appear in your unified Inbox and AI can respond automatically if enabled.
No. NotifyHub is fully cloud-based. Just create a workspace, generate an API key and integrate our REST endpoint in your site or app. For WordPress there's a dedicated plugin that configures everything automatically. For live chat, just copy a single line of JavaScript into your site.
Yes. In workspace settings you can configure the system prompt (personality, tone, specific instructions), upload documents to the Knowledge Base for RAG, set handoff keywords for human operator escalation, and choose the name the AI uses to introduce itself. You can also disable AI for individual conversations.
Templates let you create reusable messages with dynamic variables (e.g. :name, :order_id). You can create templates for each channel and language, with real-time preview before sending. Templates are used both for single API notifications and broadcast campaigns.
From the dashboard you can add recipients manually or import them in bulk via CSV with automatic column mapping. Each recipient can have multiple associated channels (e.g. WhatsApp + Email). Groups let you organize contacts for targeted campaigns — for example a "VIP Clients" group or "Weekly Newsletter".
Yes. Every sent notification has a detailed log with real-time status: sent, delivered, read or failed. For failed deliveries you can retry with one click. You can also export the full history to CSV with filters by channel, status, date and recipient. Webhooks instantly notify you of every status change.
The Free plan includes 500 notifications/month on Telegram and Email. The Pro plan adds WhatsApp, more templates and extended history. The Agency plan includes multiple workspaces to manage multiple clients. All plans include REST API, webhooks, analytics dashboard and Italian support. The AI Addon is available separately for all plans.
Monthly or annual billing (2 months free) in euros with Italian electronic invoice. Credit card payment via Stripe. Overages are automatically charged at transparent rates visible from the dashboard. Extra AI credits are purchased in bundles and never expire.
Yes. Hosted on Hetzner servers in the EU (Germany), encryption at rest, complete audit log, privacy by design. We provide DPA (Data Processing Agreement) on request. Italian DPA-compliant cookie banner included for the widget. Support for right to erasure and data portability.
Three options: 1) REST API — a simple POST with Bearer token, recipient and template. 2) WordPress Plugin — install and configure in 2 minutes. 3) Live Chat Widget — one line of JavaScript. Complete documentation with cURL, PHP and Node.js examples available in the API Docs section.
The Flow Builder lets you create visual automations based on triggers (e.g., new contact, message received, tag added) and actions (e.g., send template, add tag, wait N days, notify operator). You can also use 4 ready presets: Welcome Series, Abandoned Cart, Re-engagement, and Review Request.
The Analytics dashboard provides 6 main KPIs, daily charts, channel breakdown, delivery statuses, top 5 templates, and AI performance by model. Select period (7-90 days) and export to CSV.
Quick replies let you save predefined phrases by category and recall them by typing / in chat. They support dynamic variables and usage is tracked automatically.
The Contact Timeline shows all activities of a recipient in a single chronological view: sent and received messages, delivery statuses, conversations, executed automations, and bookings. You can filter by event type and see details with metadata for each entry.
E-commerce triggers connect your store (WooCommerce, Shopify or API) to NotifyHub. Every event — order, payment, shipping, abandoned cart — automatically fires notifications, automations and webhooks without writing code.
You can schedule any message by selecting recipient, channel, template and date/time. The message stays queued until the scheduled time, when it is sent automatically. You can cancel, send immediately or reschedule at any time.
Every time a webhook is sent, NotifyHub logs the payload, HTTP status code, duration and result. If delivery fails, the system retries up to 3 times with increasing backoff (30s, 2min, 10min). From the Webhook Logs page you can filter and manually retry with one click.
NotifyHub offers official SDKs for Node.js (npm install @notifyhub/sdk), PHP (composer require notifyhub/php-sdk) and Python (pip install notifyhub). All SDKs wrap the REST API with authentication, message sending, contact management and webhook signature verification. Generate an API key from the Sources section of your workspace to get started.
NotifyHub supports 4 roles: Owner (full access), Admin (manages team, campaigns, automations and settings), Editor (sends messages and manages contacts) and Viewer (read-only). From the Team page you can invite members via email, change roles and remove users. The permissions matrix clearly shows what each role can do.
Download the free NotifyHub WP plugin from the download page. After installation, configure your API key in Settings → NotifyHub. The plugin supports: live chat widget (shortcode [notifyhub_widget] or auto-embed), automatic contact creation from forms (CF7, Elementor, WPForms, Gravity Forms and 4 more), WooCommerce notifications, review moderation via WhatsApp with approve/reject buttons, and universal hooks for any Custom Post Type.
Yes! In the Email Reports section of the portal you can configure automatic weekly (every Monday) or monthly (1st of the month) delivery. The report includes: messages sent and delivered, delivery rate, conversations, AI responses with cost, new contacts, most-used channels, most-used templates and trends compared to the previous period. You can also preview or manually send the report at any time.
Yes! From the A/B Test section of the portal you can create tests to compare two template variants. Configure the split percentage (e.g. 50/50 or 70/30), and the system will automatically distribute traffic between the two variants. Monitor delivery rate, sends and failures in real time. When you have enough data (min 20 sends per variant), you can declare the winner manually or let the system auto-determine it based on delivery rate difference.
In the SLA & Timing section you can configure a policy with maximum first response time (e.g. 60 minutes) and resolution time (e.g. 8 hours). The system monitors all workspace conversations and automatically flags breaches. The dashboard shows: SLA compliance rate, total and active breaches, and breach history with status.
AI Agents are pre-configured industry templates that automatically customize your AI assistant's system prompt. We have 8 presets for: hospitality, e-commerce, healthcare, restaurants, real estate, fitness, legal and automotive. One click to install: your AI assistant will immediately adopt the tone, skills and industry-specific instructions. You can always revert by uninstalling the agent.
With the Agency+ plan you can fully customize the NotifyHub portal with your brand. Set up a custom domain by pointing a CNAME to notify.trovido.com — SSL certificate is generated automatically. You can also set your logo, brand colors and hide the NotifyHub logo.
By default all workspaces share the platform WhatsApp number. With BYON you can connect your own dedicated WhatsApp Business number. Requires a verified Meta Business account and a number registered on WhatsApp Business API.
From the Marketplace page in the portal you can find guides to connect NotifyHub to Zapier, Make (ex Integromat) and n8n. All platforms require just 3 steps: 1) Create an API key in NotifyHub, 2) Search for NotifyHub in your chosen platform, 3) Authenticate with your API key. 3 triggers and 3 actions are available.
